OK, not really, but at least my world is going to feel like that. Why? Well I’ll tell you, because I know you’re wondering why! I have decided 2016 is the year of living frugally, for me anyways. Now before you start rolling your eyes and think “ugh, another resolution post”, nope this is not one of those. I have just come to the Carrie Bradshaw realization that everyone, including my son, are saving their pennies and have bank accounts to show for it and all I have is a
closet office full of shoes and bags. Gorgeous, to-die-for shoes and bags, but that’s it. So, I’ve decided 2016 is the year I start to invest in my bank account. Lord have mercy, I don’t know if I can do it, but like Yoda says “Do or do not, there is no try.” And who am I to argue with a Jedi Master? So here goes everything…into my bank account!
Hello everyone! I’m so excited to show off my first ever DIY collage!! Woo hoo!! Can you tell I’m excited? It’s my Christmas Wish List, or one of them anyways. I’ve recently started purchasing some Kate Spade skirts from Neiman Marcus and Last Call and let me tell you, I love them. They fit so nicely and I always receive compliments when I wear them. I even wore one the other day and one of my co-workers asked if she could touch it. lol I’ll definitely do a review later on them, but I’m sure you can figure out how it’s going to turn out. One of the reasons why I like this dress is the print, another is the colors and the fact that they blend so well together with the colorblocking it allows you many possibilities when accessorizing it. Of course it’s finally gotten cooler in Texas so I would definitely need a cardi to wear over it, at the very least. Since there’s already so much going on with the print in the dress a simple clutch can easily take you from day to night. Another one of my fave places to shop? Zara! And these shoes are definitely on my wish list, even though I already have a pair similar to these, because everybody knows a lady can never have enough shoes (said in my best Phaedra voice). The Michael Kors Jet Set Travel Tote in purple has been on my wish list for awhile, but unfortunately it went on sale and they were all snapped up. 😦 So unless Mrs. Claus can pull out a miracle from her bag, this one will definitely remain a wish. Yes, I said Mrs. Claus because you know Santa would just head over to Walmart and pick up a purple tote and call it a night.
There you have it Wish List #1. Be sure to let me know what’s on your wish list and let me know what you think of my first collage while your at it.

Allison Sling Back Platform Pump – DKNY.
I was on DKNY’s website last night contemplating a bag purchase, but I just couldn’t seem to hit the “submit order” button, well I’m glad I didn’t click the button, because this morning my BTFF sent me a link to this really cute dress and I noticed that some of the sale items were an additional 50% off! Woo, hoo!! So, yeah, I may have done a little shopping tonight…and this morning.
If you couldn’t make the DKNY sample sale in NYC last week, because, you know, your G6 was in the shop getting worked on next to mine, this is a great alternative. Shipping starts at about $12, but if you spend more than $200 shipping is free (I think, just don’t hold me to that!). And yes, I did order the shoes above, plus the Reni sling backs and the bag I just couldn’t bring myself to order last night, which btw is sold out now. Let me know if you pick something up!
I ordered these beauties from Dillard’s the other day and they finally arrived, check out Sweetpea’s Closet for more details.
BCBGMAXAZRIA – SALE: FOOTWEAR: BCBGENERATION PLATFORM OXFORD PUMP.
So I bought these shoes today to go with this really cute LC Lauren Conrad Ruffle dress I picked up at Kohl’s during their Power Hour sale, hello 50% off! So here’s the dress:
It doesn’t look like it in the pic above, but the dress is actually black and cream. I plan on adding some tights and a cardi with it, just not sure about the colors yet, but with those two additions I can wear it now instead of having to wait until Spring before unveiling it. Although with the weather we’ve been having (70 degrees in January!) I could wear it just like this. I’m still not sold on the wearing-socks-with-your-heels trend, but with these oxfords I might give it a try. We shall see.
