It’s the end of the world!

OK, not really, but at least my world is going to feel like that. Why? Well I’ll tell you, because I know you’re wondering why! I have decided 2016 is the year of living frugally, for me anyways. Now before you start rolling your eyes and think “ugh, another resolution post”, nope this is not one of those. I have just come to the Carrie Bradshaw realization that everyone, including my son, are saving their pennies and have bank accounts to show for it and all I have is a closet office full of shoes and bags. Gorgeous, to-die-for shoes and bags, but that’s it. So, I’ve decided 2016 is the year I start to invest in my bank account. Lord have mercy, I don’t know if I can do it, but like Yoda says “Do or do not, there is no try.” And who am I to argue with a Jedi Master? So here goes everything…into my bank account!

Weekend Brunch

Weekend Brunch

This set was inspired by the Coach Legacy Perforated Haley. I love the color of the bag (Robin/Chalk) and it gives your outfit that perfect pop of color. Not only is this a great outfit to wear to brunch, but would be perfect for an office look.

On a side note, Polyvore please, please, please with a cherry on top make an app for Android! Not every fashionista uses an iphone. 😉

The Hopeless Romantic

Prabal Gurung for Target

Dress in Apple Red ($49.99), Crystal Stone Cutout Bangles in black and silver ($24.99), Bangles in First Date print/Dresden Blue, Calypso Coral print/black, Nolita print/Sulfur Spring ($16.99 each), Ankle-strap heels in Blazing Yellow, Dresden Blue**, black** and Apple Red** ($39.99 **Target.com exclusive)

Have you taken the Love Style quiz at Target’s website? Well I did and I’m a hopeless romantic. Go figure. 😉 I was actually surprised how accurate the result turned out to be considering that I had put this list together before I took the quiz.

I’m really excited for this collection to arrive in store and online. The pieces I’m after seem to be evenly split between “Target.com exclusive” and in store purchases which could be good or bad for Target. So long as they can handle the volume of people that will be shopping online at midnight I think the complaints will be low, because let’s face it, you’re always going to have someone who has to complain about something. It’ll also keep the poachers to a minimum so that there isn’t such a fiasco like there was for the Jason Wu collaboration (I hope). I may actually have to set my alarm and head to Target as soon as they open…or maybe not my husband may think there’s something seriously wrong with me if I wake up that early. Either way, one thing is certain my bank account is going to feel this one. FIVE MORE DAYS PEOPLE!!!

Things I Love

This year Kate Spade is doing a monthly Things We Love, so I thought I would spotlight  a few things that I love from KSNY’s January Things We Love for you. For January they’re starting out with a Pop of Color, which can sometimes be difficult for me to add into my wardrobe, but I did find somethings with a pop of color.

KSNY - January

1. Meri Sweater in Mondrian 2. Meagan Sweater 3. Barry Skirt in Mondrian 4. Sunglasses Key Fob 5. Cobble Hill Little Minka 6. Waverly Street Blaine 7. Mercer Isle Small Sloan 8. Kate Spade Small Square Studs 9. Made in the Shade Coin Purse 10. Sofia Cardigan 11. Daria Dress

My favorite is the Daria dress and the Sunglasses Key fob, I need that for my keys asap! Of course I’d add the Sofia cardigan for that pop of color. What would your pick(s) be?

Christmas Wish List

Hello everyone! I’m so excited to show off my first ever DIY collage!! Woo hoo!! Can you tell I’m excited? It’s my Christmas Wish List, or one of them anyways. I’ve recently started purchasing some Kate Spade skirts from Neiman Marcus and Last Call and let me tell you, I love them. They fit so nicely and I always receive compliments when I wear them. I even wore one the other day and one of my co-workers asked if she could touch it. lol I’ll definitely do a review later on them, but I’m sure you can figure out how it’s going to turn out. One of the reasons why I like this dress is the print, another is the colors and the fact that they blend so well together with the colorblocking it allows you many possibilities when accessorizing it. Of course it’s finally gotten cooler in Texas so I would definitely need a cardi to wear over it, at the very least. Since there’s already so much going on with the print in the dress a simple clutch can easily take you from day to night. Another one of my fave places to shop? Zara! And these shoes are definitely on my wish list, even though I already have a pair similar to these, because everybody knows a lady can never have enough shoes (said in my best Phaedra voice). The Michael Kors Jet Set Travel Tote in purple has been on my wish list for awhile, but unfortunately it went on sale and they were all snapped up. 😦 So unless Mrs. Claus can pull out a miracle from her bag, this one will definitely remain a wish. Yes, I said Mrs. Claus because you know Santa would just head over to Walmart and pick up a purple tote and call it a night.

There you have it Wish List #1. Be sure to let me know what’s on your wish list and let me know what you think of my first collage while your at it.

1. Kate Spade Freyda Geometric-Print Dress 2. J.Crew Tippi Cardigan 3. BCBG MaxAzria Carina Foldover Clutch 4. Zara Suede Court Shoe 5. Michael Kors Jet Set Travel Tote
