It’s the end of the world!

OK, not really, but at least my world is going to feel like that. Why? Well I’ll tell you, because I know you’re wondering why! I have decided 2016 is the year of living frugally, for me anyways. Now before you start rolling your eyes and think “ugh, another resolution post”, nope this is not one of those. I have just come to the Carrie Bradshaw realization that everyone, including my son, are saving their pennies and have bank accounts to show for it and all I have is a closet office full of shoes and bags. Gorgeous, to-die-for shoes and bags, but that’s it. So, I’ve decided 2016 is the year I start to invest in my bank account. Lord have mercy, I don’t know if I can do it, but like Yoda says “Do or do not, there is no try.” And who am I to argue with a Jedi Master? So here goes everything…into my bank account!

Oh yes I did!

Hello, Lover

I ordered these beauties from Dillard’s the other day and they finally arrived, check out Sweetpea’s Closet for more details.

Rachel Zoe Kayne Wedge Sandals

I love these! Of course wouldn’t it figure they’re already out in my size…in the purple that is. I love the blush, especially since they would help me look taller. Lord knows I need all the help I can get! I’ll just have to keep my eye on them.

I hope these work…

So I bought these shoes today to go with this really cute LC Lauren Conrad Ruffle dress I picked up at Kohl’s during their Power Hour sale, hello 50% off! So here’s the dress:

LC Lauren Conrad Floral Ruffle Dress

It doesn’t look like it in the pic above, but the dress is actually black and cream. I plan on adding some tights and a cardi with it, just not sure about the colors yet, but with those two additions I can wear it now instead of having to wait until Spring before unveiling it. Although with the weather we’ve been having (70 degrees in January!) I could wear it just like this.  I’m still not sold on the wearing-socks-with-your-heels trend, but with these oxfords I might give it a try. We shall see.
